a) |
It was reported that vehicles were travelling too fast through the village especially at the East End and outside the School. It was felt that the Clerk should contact the Police to see if a Speed Camera could be arranged and also contact Highways to see if any modifications could be made to improve the situation. |

b) |
County Councillor Monson gave an update on current issues: |

i) |
The Budget for Norfolk is anticipated to be the lowest increase for some time at 1.9%; some jobs will go, including some 80 Senior Managers. The focus will be on keeping front line services going. The increased funding that is available from Central Government is tied to undertaking extra tasks. |

ii) |
It does appear that Norwich will become a Unitary Authority. District Councils will remain in place. |

|
|
|
iii) |
Dangerous potholes should be reported on 0344 800 8009. |
|
|
|
c) |
The Chair requested that anyone interested in applying for the role of Parish Clerk contact him as soon as possible. If no suitable local candidate applied, a Clerk could be appointed from outside the village, and if this was not possible, County Hall would take over the role, which may be difficult to operate. |
