Minutes of the last meeting, held 7th September 2010 were approved as a fair reflection of the meeting, and the Chairman was authorised to sign them.  The action against item 9e was taken by the Clerk, not the Chair as minuted.

Matters Arising

 

 

a)

Hedge and trees at Bartlett’s. The hedge remains uncut despite several telephone calls by the Chairman.

b)

Land behind Chalk Row. The matter is in the hands of Breckland Council Planning department.

 

 

c)

Fen Charity. No accounts were presented. After a discussion, it was agreed that The Chairman would clarify the accounting requirements with the Charity Commission and pass that information to Mr R Adcock, Trustee. It was hoped that this could result in a form of accounts acceptable to all

d)

Parish council report in Signpost Magazine .The Chairman produced a report but missed the press date. He will send a report of this meeting by Thursday 11 November.

e)

Potholes in The Street at the Elm Place junction and by Bartlett’s entrance. Norfolk County Council Highways staff are aware or these and have done a site visit.

 

 

f)

Passing-place signs in Watermill Lane. The signs will be removed as not needed following reduced traffic since Bartlett’s site closed.

 

 

g)

Floods by the bridge in Clark’s Lane. Norfolk County Council Highways staff are aware of this and have done a site visit.

 

 

h)

The hedge by Gooderstone Manor. A letter was sent to Mr Parker who replied agreeing to cut it. That has been done.

 

 

i)

The hedge by Marguerite Cottage. A letter was sent and the hedge has been cut.

 

 

j)

The hedge on Clarke’s Lane. A letter was sent to Sir Samuel Roberts who replied agreeing to cut it. This has not yet been done.

 

 

k)

Dog mess on footpaths in the village.  Press date for the last signpost was missed, a note will be offered for the next Signpost.

a)

Letter from Norfolk County Council re Comprehensive Spending review consultation.  Consultation is open on the Norfolk CC website. A printed copy will be circulated to all Councillors.

Letter from Land Registry. No action to be taken as the council does not own any land to be registered.
