County Councillor Monson gave an update on current issues:

a.

The Budget for Norfolk is very tight however the increase will be held below 2%.  There was substantial budgetary pressure from both Social and Children’s Services.  Efficiency improvements were being developed and planned.

b.

There was an emergency meeting planned for the 6th January to discuss the gritting situation.  Most villages had had one access route open most of the time.  The Parish Council asked Ian to express their appreciation of all the hard work that had been put in to keep local roads clear.
