a)

NALC AGM.  No councillors expressed a wish to attend this event on 12th September.

 

 

b)

East of England Plan 2031.  Any Councillors who wished to attend this event should contact the Clerk for details of dates and venues.

Swaffham Jobs Fair.  Councillors were advised of this event, on 1st October.

 

 

d)

Breckland Heroes Support.  Councillors agreed that an email of support should be sent.  The Clerk to prepare a draft for the Chairman to review.  Any who wished to send a personal email should contact the Clerk for details of the email address.

Breckland Town and Parish Forum.  Councillors Andrew Boughen, Maeveen Scotney, Ann Melhuish and Trevor Brooks wished to attend this event.  The Clerk to book places for them.

NNAB Appeal.   It was decided that no contribution would be made.  Clerk to advise NNAB of this.

Local Development Framework

 

 

a)

Settlement Boundary.  An update is awaited from Breckland District Council.

Street Lighting

 

 

a)

It was reported that the light outside the school remained on all day.

a)

No update had been received on the planning application for Church Farm.

a)

School - Hall Hire.

 

 

b)

Peter Hall & Associates Ltd – Clerks fees.

 

 

All cheques were approved and authorised, Clerk to distribute.

Any Other Business

 

 

a)

The Stables - Elm Place/The Street Junction.  Following an on-site meeting with the residents concerned and Highways a proposal to install some bollards has been agreed has been implemented.  The bollards have already been hit, and reported to Highways for action.

The Parish Council requested that all drivers of large vehicles, particularly tractors and associated equipment, be careful to avoid damaging the buildings as they drive through this area.

b)

The Street (East End).  Highways will undertake work to improve the drainage of The Street between Watermill Lane and the entrance to Bartlett’s, when they next have a team in the area.

c)

Manhole Cover outside Crow Hall Farm House.  This was believed to be a leaking fire hydrant.  Anglian Water had been contacted and repairs effected. Completed.

 

 

d)

Chalkrow Lane surface.  The large bump in the road will be repaired in about 6 to 8 weeks time.  The Lane will be closed during the repair.

The Charity Return had been submitted for 2008/9.  Completed.

 

 

f)

It was reported that No. 2 St Georges Terrace hedge was in need of cutting, and that the refuse bin was being left out permanently.  Clerk to write the Peddars Way Housing Association.

It was reported that the refuse bin outside Marguerite Cottage was being left out permanently, Clerk to write to the occupier.
