Local List Validation Requirements Consultation - New requirements are planned to be introduced for the information needed to go with planning applications, known as the local list. If anyone wishes to be involved in the consultation this is their chance. Please see the Clerk for details of how to access the consultation process.

 

 

d)

Norfolk Rural Community Council Membership - This is an invitation to re-join this organisation, which we left some time ago. It was not felt that it was able to offer anything that would be of real value to the Parish Council so it was decided not to re­join.

 

 

e)

Breckland Council Housing Strategy Day - No councillors expressed an interest in attending this event.

 

 

f)

NCC Elections - Nominations are invited for the position of County Councillor representing the Brecks. The election notice is on the Parish Notice Board. Note that there will be European Parliamentary Elections and Breckland District Council on 4th June, the School will be used for the election.

 

 

g)

St George's Church Lawnmower. A letter had been received from Graham Cromie thanking us for our contribution and informing us that the new mower has been purchased.

Settlement Boundary.  An update is awaited from Breckland District Council.

a)

Land at rear of Orchard House - Application granted.

The Swan Public House - Application pending.

Tree Preservation Order Old Farm - For information.

The Old Sawmill - Application Withdrawn.

a)

School - Hall Hire.

a)

It was reported that a drain did not appear to be operating properly.

b)

Bridge at Gooderstone Road. Notification had been received that the Highways Authority wanted to impose a 7.5 tonne GVW limit on the bridge following a structural assessment. Following a discussion on the use of the bridge, the Parish Council requested the Clerk to write to the Highways Authority and ask for the bridge to be upgraded to take heavier vehicles.

The condition of the boundary around the playing field was giving cause for concern as the hedges continued to grow into it. The Parish Council to investigate how to deal with this matter.

Breckland District Council Planning. A letter was read out by the Chairman detailing Breckland Councils proposals to outsource their Planning Process, and its advantages.

 

 

e)

Clerks Salary. The Council voted for a £100 increase in the Clerks annual salary.
