Gooderstone Parish Council

Minutes of Annual Meeting held at Gooderstone School on

Tuesday 4th May 2010 at 7.00 pm (continued)

Item

Action by:

e)

Parish Council – Trevor Brooks reported that the two major issues during the year had been

1. The introduction of a weight restriction on the bridge over the River Gadder at the West end of the village.  This had been necessitated by its deterioration leading to it being unsafe to take any greater weight.  The county Council had insufficient funds to replace it in the short term.

2. The dispute with Breckland District council over the definition of the Settlement Boundary.  This was ongoing at the present time; however the implications for the Parish were that any future development in the village would be severely restricted, if not impossible, and that the Parish might have less say in any development of the Bartlett site.

Councillors had attended various seminars during the year on relevant topics and issues
