Freedom of Information Act.  It was unanimously decided by the Council that we should adopt the short form of publication, and that the full information pack would be obtainable from the Clerk.  Notice to be put on the Board.

It was agreed that effort should be made to improve the present filing and storage of the Parish Councils documentation.  Councillors offered to assist with materials and time once the scale of the problem and the proposed solution had been established by the Clerk.

It was also agree that the Clerk should pursue the development of a Parish Council website, whilst liaising with the present Village Website.

e)

Making and Enforcement of Byelaws.  The Council decided unanimously that as we had no Byelaws, there would be no need for then to respond to the consultation document.

 

5.

Local Development Framework

 

 

Settlement Boundary.  It was confirmed by the clerk that the Council could seek amendments to the present boundary.  It was agreed that a sub-Committee of The Chairman and Councillors Mrs. A Melhuish and Mr A. Boughen, assisted by the Clerk, would undertake a review and produce a revised plan, if necessary, for submission to the Planning Authority.  Clerk to arrange a meeting date and venue.

Boundary Commission

 

 

The Chairman read out the letter sent to the Commission and the response received.

 

 

The Chairman read key extracts from the document “The Business Case for a Unitary Authority”.

Street Lighting

 

 

a)

The light outside Mill House has been repaired.

 

 

b)

The light outside 1 Elm Place was reported as not working, Clerk to ensure repair.

There were no updates to the planning report for this meeting .

Any Other Business

 

 

a)

The budget for 2009 to 2010 was reviewed and discussed.  It was unanimously agreed that the Chairman should sign the Precept Requirement form B in accordance with the budget, and that the Clerk should forward this to the appropriate authority.

It was reported that the edges of the road to Foulden had become progressively more broken down causing the road to become narrower and have worse flooding.  Clerk to discuss with the Highways Authority.
