Minutes of last meeting, held 1st September 2008 –were approved as a fair reflection of the meeting, and the Chairman was authorised to sign them. |

Matters Arising |

a) |
GPEG. The Signs have been installed. |
| |
|
|
b) |
The purchase and installation of the rubbish bin outside the school is still awaiting return of Planning permission. |

c) |
New Bank Mandate. This had been processed and Councillor Mrs. M. Scotney is now a cheque signatory. |

d) |
Standards Boards Complaints. The views of the Council have been sent to the Consultative body. |

|
e) |
Poppy Wreath. This has been paid for and will be available to collect from The Swan in late October or early November. Chairman to collect. |

Church Bells Appeal. The cheque had been sent. The Church Warden advised that a total of over £1,700 had been raised to date. |

g) |
Breckland Council Forum. It was confirmed that no councillors had asked the clerk to arrange for them to attend the meeting. |

h) |
Police Authority Strategic Plan. No feedback had been given to the clerk by Councillors. |
| |
|
|
i) |
Bottle Bank. The clerk had spoken with Sarah at the Swan who did not want to take this complaint further, as she felt she had already dealt with it. The major issue was that despite the bank being full, people left their bottles scattered all over the car park. |

|
j) |
Elm Place Chalk Pit fence. The clerk had spoken with a Latimer Estates representative, and they are reviewing the way forward with this problem. It was subsequently stated by Mr. Tingley that the further damage to the fence had been caused by the grass cutters along the road. The Clerk to take this up with the Highways Authority, and inform Latimer Estates. |

a) |
Completion of Annual Audit. It was confirmed that the annual audit has been completed satisfactorily and will be displayed, along with an extract of the accounts on the Notice Board. |

b) |
Register of Electors. Councillors who wished to have a copy of the Register signed the application forms for the Clerk to send to the authority. |

Litter Picking Service. Councillors confirmed that they did not wish to use this service, Clerk to advise the supplier who offered it. |
