Minutes of last meeting held 3rd March 2008  – Approved as a fair reflection of the meeting with the Chairman duly authorised to sign to confirm this.

Matters arising: -

a)

Bartletts – Progress on planning application being made with 6 reports being prepared by Bartletts including flood risk, topographical. Breckland are interested in the proposal with Bartletts currently concentrating on the residential aspect.  They were very pleased with the feedback from the village

b)

Norfolk Minerals – dealt with by chair as agreed.

c)

Migrant Workers conference – attended by Mrs Melhuish.  A very good conference.  Considered to be a good job by Breckland in helping migrants to settle in.  They have a Brazilian employee and have been supported by the Catholic Church and Swaffham convent.

d)

Village website- Up and running very well.

e)

Street lighting maintenance – see 5 below.

f)

Planning applications circulation – new system commenced.

Correspondence

a)

Nelson’s journey – appeal letter read out but no donation approved.  Considered by councillors that local authorities offered similar support.

b)

Boundary Commission – letter read out and agreed to await the consultation paper before considering matter.
