Letter from M Lovegrove – Mr Lovegrove’s offer to put items from the Parish Council on the website he recently set up (www.gooderstonevillage.co.uk) was warmly welcomed.  Minutes, Agendas, contact details are all to be provided.  Mr Lovegrove was thanked for setting up the website and for his offer.  Mr Lovegrove is kindly running this website at his own expense.

Norfolk Rural Community Council.  There was no proposal to join this organisation.

NCAPTC Boundary Commission meeting – details of meeting read out with Parish Councillors asked to advise the clerk if they wished to attend.

Street Lighting Maintenance – The clerk advised that the contract was due for renewal later this year and that the service from the present supplier had deteriorated with a number of chasers having to be sent before repairs were undertaken.  It was agreed that the clerk should seek alternative quotes.

Planning

a)

Alterations at The Weatherings – Breckland have confirmed that this has been approved.

b)

The Bungalow – Approved by Parish Council and passed to Breckland.

c)

Plot adjacent to the forge. Approved by Parish Council and passed to Breckland.

The clerk advised that the present method of circulating planning applications did not allow comments from all parish councillors to be seen by others.  As it is not practical to call a meeting each time an application is received it was agreed that the clerk would in future start the circulation of planning application on a random basis.

8.

Any other business

The fence around the pit has been vandalised again and it was asked if the owners would repair it again.  The clerk advised that there was no obligation to fence the pit but that it would be done as and when convenient.
